There was a part of me that wanted to keep Embodied Confidence for Women under wraps a little longer.
Cross a few more T’s and dot a few more I’s. Wait for me to be 100% confident before I shared my learning with others.
You see that’s what we women do. We like to wait until things are perfect. (it’s true y’all. research shows we only apply for jobs when we meet 100% of the criteria).
But perfection is a high bar to reach.
And the world no longer has time to wait for us to get there.
This world’s got some things that need a fixin’.
This world needs us putting up our chipped-manicured hands saying, “Hey, I may not have all the answers but I’ve got some of them and I know I can figure out the rest.”
That’s the kind of confidence this world needs right now.
So with Embodied Confidence for Women, I’m acting like a man (they apply for jobs when they meet 60% of the criteria).
I’m not perfectly confident.
I still have some becoming to do.
I haven’t mastered it all but I know the way.
I can shine a light on the path and I’m looking for others to come along with me.
To join me in practicing confidence.
I’m asking you today, to in some way take some step before you are perfect. Release your report before you’ve quadruple checked it. Apply for the job that’s a bit of a stretch. Speak up in a meeting before you’ve rehearsed all the words.
